Hip

Fellowship-trained in adult and adolescent hip conditions, with sub-specialty experience from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital London (young adult hip preservation and complex arthroplasty) and Southmead Hospital Bristol (advanced hip replacement, revision and arthroscopic hip surgery).

  • Numerous primary total hip replacements annually using minimally invasive techniques.
  • Complex hip reconstruction and revision surgery.
  • Young adult hip conditions — dysplasia, AVN, labral tears, FAI, Perthes' sequelae, SUFE sequelae.
  • Arthroscopic and open hip preservation surgery.

Knee

Fellowship in knee and shoulder reconstruction at the Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic.

  • Over 100 computer-navigated primary total knee replacements per year.
  • Robotic-assisted knee replacement.
  • Partial knee replacement and patellofemoral replacement.
  • High tibial osteotomy for younger patients.
  • Revision knee replacement.
  • Young adult conditions — ACL and multi-ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, patella stabilisation.

Trauma

Complex orthopaedic trauma at Middlemore Hospital — both the acute management of major fractures and the ongoing management of non-union, mal-union, painful metalware and post-traumatic arthritis.
